Along the curving forest track
Luminous sky fades to night
We walk together or one in back
Following our flashlight
Chasing back darkness to reveal
Secrets hiding between the trees
Our fear sufficient to conceal
The very thing we hope to see
As we hang back our lights reflect
Two very large eyes detect
Alien visitors we
Capture lasting memory
A story told of mild duress
Amid the sprawling wilderness
Me, my wild adventuress
And, of course, the moose
